Currently, anyone can set up as a builder in the UK without any form of formal qualification, third-party checks, or regulatory oversight. This lack of accountability has led to countless homeowners being financially and emotionally devastated by rogue traders, as well as tradespeople themselves going unpaid for honest work completed (which we have seen in the news locally just this past week)!
We met victims.
We listened to their stories.
And it solidified for us, why this change is far too long overdue.
